Cabernet Franc seems to be the grape that has best adapted over time to the Viña Maquis terroir. As early as in the 1930s and 40s Cabernet Franc was always the main component of the winery’s finest wines.
The grapes for Maquis Franco are harvested from the heart of the property’s best blocks of Cabernet Franc and carefully selected to make very limited-production wines.
At every vintage, Maquis Franco comes from the same massal selection of ungrafted Cabernet Franc blocks.
Maquis Franco has been named “Chile’s top Cabernet Franc” for the past 5 years.
